Hi guys. This is Johnny. I just started keeping Oscars and decided to join this club to get to know more about them. Such as tank requirements and tank mates.
So drop me a note if you have anyting which u tink i may require
thank you and takkire folks.

P.S. my 6-7 inch albino oscar lives with 2 blood parrot cichlids and a yellow parrot cichlid in a 2 ft tank.
 
An Oscar can fill a 55 gallon tank by itself, think about upgrading soon.

bt do u noe their growth rate ?
and perhaps wat otehr suitable tank mates ?
i have been considering pacus and arowanas
 
Usually any CA/SA cichlid that can get big enough to hold their own even though an oscar is a lumbering giant, they grow kinda slow but fast enough to look to upgrade
 
oohokie...
and ya, erm.. i hav seen many videos of oscar feedings.. and they are all soooo fast.. my oscar is rather slow and hardly chases fish. instead it eats the fish which come too close..
is it a phase it goes through ???
 
Nah my friend has an oscar thats pretty slow, they are fast when they want to be, but they are totally lazy fish.

okay...
my oscar barely moves more than 3 cm frm the tank bottom. and it doesn swim,, its juz floats around... imagine a fish that wont swim ???
the onli tym its active is when i catch it to clean its tank....
other than that.. it looks a statue aroun which the cichlids swim
