hello everyone, i've used this site for reference for plenty of years and i finally signed up. i currently have a 150 gallon fresh water tank im trying to setup. i have a small fluval and some of brand pump running on it right now but im needing to find a fx6 or fx5 for a good price, im also wondering a better heater setup, and where to buy fish for it i currently just moved to kentucky from florida and where i am there are very few LFS's and the weather here is so different just wanna be able to keep the tank warm and have super clear water.if anyone has suggestions on lighting thatd be cool as well or if yall can direct me to the forums that will answer my questions it woud be awesome. if anyone can help it would be appreciated :) thank you in advance

the picture is my tank before i tore it down and moved

welcome!, still have the Oscars?

so tank is going to have to be recycled?

Look into a sump or wet dry trickle system and throw the heater(s) in there to hide the wiring. If you don't want to drill the tank, use an overflow box. As for lighting, go with led. Lots of places to order fishes...aquabid is one...depends on what you want. Never lived in that kind of cold so I would wait till it warms up...although heat packs are used to ship fish. You'll have to check with the seller.

i was looking into the fx6 ive always had canister filters and want another and for lighting thats something i have to look into.

welp, perfect time to get a new filter, cycle it up with the tank. lot of folks like the FX6 , i am not a fluval fan except for there AC HoB filters, more eheam for canisters, I base on nothing more than my experience with there 405 and 6. both leaked right out of the box, they did send replacement parts to no effect, they hit the big box of, well thats crap. in the garage.
