Hello Steve. :) Welcome to MFK! :)

Er... please don't mind me asking... but... are you a troll? Your intro baffles me... saying right from the beginning that you are a "fish expert"... saying you have a 20 gal tank... then listing fish that will get humongous AND adding that you would like to add more fish that again would grow very big! And, unless I'm wrong, you are only planning to upgrade to a 55 gal.

So... again, please don't mind me asking: Are you a troll? Because if you are not then I would have to start feeling very stupid about not housing a school of 9 pacus in my 150 gal.

Maybe not a troll, but someone that thinks after a month of keeping fish it qualifies as an expert.
I dont know about the expert part. you remind me of me when I 1st started keeping fish earlier this year. a way overstocked way too small tank that I quickly outgrew to a 55+, then to a 100, then to a 125 (all within 6 months) witch is borderline big enough, and Im nowhere near an expert. I feel for your fish

Helpful advice:
When you are convinced that you know everything, you will stop learning. If you keep an open mind, you will find there is much to know.

Welcome to MFK; we are the next level.

Give the guy a chance. He is new and trying to fit in. When he gets a chance to see how things should really be done, he'll put things into perspective and learn his place. We will have rehabilitated another 20g fish killer.

This reminds me of my first tank...an Eclipse 6 gallon hex into which I put several tiny Managuense cichlids lol. Only after I looked them up on the internet did I realize they were the same thing as the enormous Jagaur cichlid in our display tank :) And so came the buying of bigger tanks and the putting of new stuff into the old ones lol.

ewurm: I'm going to stick with them, before I had the first set i had:

A Florida Gar 9 Inches
Clown Knife 8 Inches
Silver Arowana 9 Inches
Pacu 6-7 inches (don't remember)
Oscar (Same as Pacu)
Sun Catfish Around 7 inches (Didn't last long after tank cleaning)
Wolf Fish (Sold it coz it was an aggressive male)

Housed in that same 20 gallon. Of course I had to kill the decor for space, but they never complained. As soon as I move from my mom's house i'm getting my brother's unused 55 gallon and putting them into there.

Aquarium_Fish: Yes I know how big Pacus can get i grew up loving them.

Remember I have baby fish so they have more than enough room right now. The current ones which is the first list is what is in my tank. I will post pics of the tank and some vids and ge ta dairy as time goes on so you can see how they progess in my tank. Although Pacu's grow large they ususally grow like oscars to the size of the tank unlike so other fish. mostly I will be giving up decor as the yget big.

You are a "fish moron"....
