They look fat and healthy.

What's the tank they're going into?

Hello Nicole, welcome to MFK. Good looking rays.
thank you sir! well im basically just started my ray keeping almost 2 months ago, my fellow mfk hobbyist here in the philippines helped alot at teaching me on keeping this magnificent creatures.... so now I want to share this to the other fellow MFK members... LOL suggestion on keeping them would be a great help specially that they are very not that active rays unlike what i normally see which is like climbing the tank or swimming above the bottom they are just like 24/7 though. LOL

  • feed twice a day (morning and night)
  • keep up with water changes
  • trust me the rays swimming/climbing up the walls is overrated. my black diamond rays would swim up the tank and stick their noses out the water and "slap" and splash the tank. literally sounded like a waterfall every time they did that. cute and fun in the beginning, then gets really noisy

My black Diamond does the same thing in the 270 and since it's fiberglass it sounds like a thud when he keeps shaping against the side lol

thanks sir! i hope my rays would do the same! LOL
its cuter and fun unlike mine that is very timid doesnt move very much. do you think its because they are is young? my male is i think 6-8" while the female is around 5".....

It's not so straight forward now but substrate helps young rays feel relaxed IMO and gives them somewhere to hide.

You must have patience also with you rays, especially WC, allow their characters to develop. Not all rays are as active and bold as each other

thanks! well they can hide at the either back or under the driftwood which is the female can only do that because she is smaller but the male can hide at back, they are new to my tank, my male is around 2 months in it and my female is 1 month. so i guess they are still developing there characters?
