yikes that sucks. i hope it recovers.
on a sidenote, USE SOME PERIODS AND COMMAS.
:X i don't think one was used in that whole rant of yours.
it gave me a headache trying to read that.

thanks :)

he is doing realy good. i got him on to cichlid pellets and he gets crickets every other day so i think he is HAPPY. a chunk off his wing had torn off and its already healing back nicely.

I allways feared one of my botias would swim into the inlet during cleaning.
Guess I've been lucky!
I missed a 7" carp out of my tank once.
He was one of the biggest in my tank and the lid was closed tightly.
Found him in the overflow of my tank.
Only cuts and bruises though. But I found him quickly after it happened!
And I changed the setup, of course...

Good lesson to learn.Fish will cram themselves into those tubes if you give them the chance.Glad you got him in time.

just watch it carefully. My friend's longhorn cowfish got sucked in and stayed there for 16 hours... but it's okay now!

man that could have really sucked I left the screen off one of my intake tubes for a canister filter and put 36 feeders in the tank and when I looked in the tank a few hrs late there were no feeders after looking close I realized that I had 36 feeders in my canister filter not cool

That sucks. But that is a pretty funny story though, haha!

I had a 15" Fire Eel swim up the output for my FX5 and get stuck. When I got home I just saw his tail sticking out of it waving like a flag. I took the tube apart to get him out, looked like he broke his back trying to back out of the tube. Pretty sad day, he was like a puppy to me and my girlfriend.

I have an interesting dynamic that occurs every 3 months when I clean my African community tank Eheim Pro...The bottom chamber will always have at least 2-3 healthy fat fry who got sucked in and manage to grow and feed off food that gets siphoned. I always introduce them back into the tank and they do fine.
