Thanks!
Yea, I am about to start looking at the 150-200 Gallon range.
The worst thing about these darn tanks is they fill up so quickly.
But with that said I imagine every time you start your next new tank you don't make the same mistakes as the previous.
I am sort of wondering how many fish @ the 2" - 3" range can be comfortably housed in a 100 Gallon tank?
The current list is as follows:
1 Ornate Bicher
5 Giant Danios (thought they would be food, might relocate to another tank)
7 Tiger Barbs (Used to cycle tank and now are permanent residents)
3 Green terror ciclids
3 Spotted puffers
2 Electric yellow ciclids
1 Dragon Goby/Dragonfish (who I thought would have been gone by now)
3 Red Crayfish
3 Red Crabs
3 Fiddler Crabs
2 Plecostomas
1 Pictus Catfish
1 Stonefish (Should have just used a stone. This fish never moves)

23 fish and 9 inverts not including snails which keep the puffers from eating everything in sight.
All fish are pretty small but soon will need much more space.
I test my water daily and change out 25G/week with RO purified water.
wow awesome collection.............. look up all the forums for your specific fish and share with others....

lol the addiction has started!

welcome to mfk, u will feel right at home!

The addiction is in full effect.
Hope the wife stays around ;)
Thank goodness she likes the tanks as well.

I wanted to ask the more experienced people if that too many fish in a 100Gallon?
I understand as they grow I will need to upgrade as I built this collection and now would like to grow em up.

Well your first issue is your "stone fish" is not a stone fish hehe. I wouldn't claim that either because they are highly illegal and its never bright to claim illegal things over the internet. They are some times called fresh water lion fish as well. Truth is i am pretty sure you have a species of toad fish that do best in brackish water, and will eventually die and never mature in fresh water.

Also, if all the fish have room, and you can control your nitrates and keep 0amonia and 0nitrite then your fine...

nitrates under 30ppm at least.

Thanks.
Nitrate was an issue during the first three weeks but now is in the sub 30 range and nitrites and ammonia have been good since week two.
There are a ton of rocks, real plants and places to hide so that has worked out well.
The stone fish that I bought at the LFS was also called fresh water lion fish by the folks that sold it to me and seems to do nothing. I agree if he does not eat or move I will find him croaked one day (pardon the pun)
I have maintained a PH of 7.2-8.2 Temp 80-82 and specific gravity under 1.000 by hydrometer. I know I need to get a bit higher to be a true brackish tank but I am moving slow as it seems many fish sold as brackish are kept in freshwater in the FS.
Thanks again for the info. I am not quite a qualified aquarist but I am an info geek and that has been helpful.
