That thing is beastly thick..lol. If it were smaller I would be more comfortable with it, I have a 7 incher in with a 12" mono the butti tries to bow up but kinda just gets shrugged off and ignored. My biggest concern would be for your arowana. Heck I voted yes anyway. Pls. do keep a very close eye on them. I have had 4 butti's in the past, and 2 out of the 2 comm'd well, the other 2 ended up gaining alot of real estate.

is he so freaking beautiful!!!
his black and white stripes is soooooo intense and strong!! and he has this bluish tinge. Unlike when he was on the store. What does that mean for buttis? is it stressed or comfortable. Hell, even the pbass colors showed up!
anyway, the pbass tried him right away, chased and mouthed him a couple times... then after a few minutes he fought back!! lol the weyre liplocking for some times.
Battle went on... a few rounds, its the pbass thats running away. it went on and off until the Small Giant Gourami bit the butti! lol scared the shi7 outta him! he swam away so fast looking for a hiding spot!
Funny, coz its the PB that harrasses the GG coz the GG is scared of the PB. Now its like...
PB owns GG while Butti owns PB but GG owns Butti! crazeeeeeee!!! lol
Aro, Pleco, Ornate and Tsn doesnt even seem to mind the new comer. Butti tried pushing the aro but the butti got bit! lol. fighting stopped now. Theyre on their own lil place.
I guess im sleeping in the basement for the night. Shud i turn off or leave the lights on?
I really love this guy! it added so muxh contrast in my tank with his b&w color.
I seriously hope it works out! but if it does not... 20$ is not so hard to give back.

3rd last pic is a real winner. Does the pbass seem to keep the butti's motuh 'shut' at times? Which fish inflicts more damage?
Nice Combo.. but I think you will have some shredded fins on the pbass in 2 weeks..
