am new to the boards, just looking for some insight for my fish. am new to the fish ownership world, but love it so far.

I have 1 blue channel cat (about 8" long), 3 columbian sharks (about 4-5" length), 3 angel fish, and a random algae eater in a 30g freshwater tank.

I plan on moving the sharks to a brakish tank, and from what I'm reading, gonna need something huge for my cat (which excites me)!

Looking forward to being here.

Welcome

& yes, you will need a huge tank to house that blue channel cat in the future. They get about 3-4 feet in length I've heard. You will probably need to build a large pond if you plan to keep him.

& I would be careful when he gets a little bit bigger or when his mouth is large enough to eat that algae eater or the columbian sharks. Because catfish tend to eat anything they can fit in their mouth. :D

welcome to mfk.. i have a columbian shark cat too.. in brackish water now.. once they are about 6 inches they should slowly be acclimated to brackish.. check out all the forums and info here.. just ask if you have any questions..nice to meet you
