hi I'm fairly new here but not new to the hobby. almost 7 years into keeping I currently have two 55 gallons, one African peacock and one planted community, and a 210 gallon with some large fish. I'm from MD and work as a vet tech. I love to expand my knowledge on anything animal related. great to be here!

Welcome to mfk! Please do share some pictures of your tanks, I'd love to see your planted one. :)

Thanks. and no I wish we did surgery on fish here! I do know a couple places in the DMV area that do surgery on fish and other things if anyone needs to know! hopefully one day i'll be working for one of those places.

good for you and the future fish..i remember we did need to do surgery on one of my pacus that ate part of the aquarium filters.. it went through him until it reached the rectum.. had to make a small slit to open the rectum bigger and release the plastic piece.. yes sometimes surgery is needed.. he healed just fine..
