well i dnt no the brand. im gettin it from ebay. its head is 1.1m.

now as of the overflow.. i would like to drill it. BUT i dnt want to risk it. i have been lookin into a weir but there expensive.i was thinking of adding a 2nd pump inside the tank to pump water to the sump but then that defeats the object of y i actually wnted a sump attached.

is there anythink else out there that can do the same but with drilling or the expense of a weir

Here you go http://cgi.ebay.com/Aquarium-OverFl...812?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f6cbe834, rated to 1200gph or 4542l/h. Not very expensive and certainly cheaper than a new tank should it crack when drilling it. This allows room for larger pumps or a 2nd one.
The 1" flexi piping that attaches to the overflow box, kust buy some jubilee clips to secure the hose to the box.http://cgi.ebay.com/Eshopps-Drain-F...637?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b32ebe85

I would personally grab another 800l/h pump and have dual returns with them joining into a single spray bar like I have.
That will spread the flow over several holes increasing the circulation and the 2nd pump will act as a backup should anything happen to one pump.

Never, ever pump from the tank to the sump. No matter how tempting it gets. Should either pump fail then you will flood either the sump or the tank, whichever one does you get lots of damage. It is inevitible one fail sooner or later, all equipment does.

OHH DAMN.. i didnt think about that. it makes sense tho. the thing is i havent gt 50 puond the the overflow so im working to as cheap as possible. my dad sez that the glass man will drill hole for like 20 quid but its still the initial fact of the glass cracking. i really want to drill tank... i think i will. if it cracks then i just need a new tank witch i can find cheap over here

If that works out cheaper for you then yeah a drilled tank is way better. Just make sure they don't try to drill the bottom corner of the tank because the base may be tempered and you cannot drill tempered glass. It will just break. Only do it if you are 100% positive that it is regular glass.
You should get them to drill the back, or side if the side is next to a wall, if not then stick to the back pane.

I would get them to drill no lower than 4" from the top otherwise I think it will start to intrude too much into aesthetics of the finished tank.
As you are going for a drilled tank you will need something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/1200-GPH-AQUARI...963?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item439c92e343 to cover the hole and to ensure you don't empty the tank in a power cut.

You will also need a bulkhead to attach your drain hose http://cgi.ebay.com/1-Bulkhead-Fitt...805?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4a9fbaca95

The 90 degree threaded male hosetail http://cgi.ebay.com/5-Black-Nylon-E...585?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ade2809f9 This is what you attach your hose to.
These items are all based on a 1" hose but the drill hole needs to be 1 1/4 for the bulkhead to fit into. If you want smaller then these will give you an idea of what to look for.

Hope that helps.
