It's a rare event that I get to supplement one of your posts but here goes...Another odd phenomenon with dissolving materials in water is that some materials become less soluble as the temperature increases. If a material dissolves into water endothermically it will become more soluble as the water temperature increases (examples are table salt and sugar). On the flip side, materials that dissolve into water exothermically (Calcium Chloride or Dowflake) will become less soluble as the water temp increases.
