It wasn't a snide comment, it was just a blunt statement. Why waste time and money on using 2 different things when they both do the job by themselves.

Just so you know, I'm not a sir. ;)

Since it came from cold water into your water without you floating, it could just be something that came out from stress. I know that Carp Pox, which is a form of Lymphocystis will come and go on fish depending on water temps.

I know of people with koi who are fine during the summer, but during the winter, the fish is all white and bumpy.

But since it has spread to your other fish, I would just keep the tank salted and keep the temps up and see if it gets worse or if it clears up a bit.

Why didn't you QT the fish first in a separate tank?

When I got I just threw him in since he had been in a friend tank for 2 years. My bad I said that from the get go.Should have floated him I know

All better now. Thanks for everyones help.Salt and or ich med must have been the key

here is where using only 1 would have given you an answer as to what had gotten it to go away. If it comes back, you will have to use both if the first treatment doesn't work.

If it was Carp Pox/Lympho it can come back, and most likely will.

Next time use 1 treatment, and then switch to another after you see that it's not doing anything.
