Last night I bought brine shrimp from feeders supply and fed them to my african chiclids for the first time. Within two hours one started topbreathing, this morning he was dead. My peacock turned very light with big white spots. None of the other fish have spots so I dont think its ick. Any ideas? ASAP Need all the help I can get!!!!!!!!!!! Also dont think know if this has anything to do with it but the peacock used to be very dominant and now when you look at him he hides away in a cave. Very unlike him...

Thanx

Not sure what kind he was. Everything was the same as usual. My friend got some brine shrimp from the same for sale tank at the same time and it kill his blue rams.

I cant imagine brine shrimp causing that, even is you dumped the saltwater they were swiiming in with them.Or are we talking frozen?Ive fed both to mbuna and other africans with good results.
either way its got to be some kind of poison that was in the shrimp.Id have started by changing out all the water then do it again and maybe a third time.
