Help arow really skittish and trys to jump

Have you checked your PH? My 2 Arowanas get real jumpy when my PH is low.

x2. BTW id suggest you don't mess with your pH before it starts fluxuating and you kill your aro all together.
 
lol ^ its like your arowana is a bull or something. a lot of black arowanas tend to be really really skittish when in new tanks. iv had mine for a good 6 months to a year and hes still scared when its not feeding time. keep the lights low and no sudden movments around him. and the more you watch him to more you will see his tendencies. my arowana will swim away from me if i approach it but will swim next to me if i just stand there. but when feeding time come around, he swims after me.
 
my 16-17" silver is fine when its just me, but when there are people it hasn't seen before it gets really jumpy.
