and the jardini & arowana have been living together for about 5 months

and there are hundreds of testimonials as to jardinis going psycho and killing everything in the tank. This commonly happens around the 10-12" range.

Your silver is very stressed and the rear fins appear to be shredded, is it worth the risk? Move the jardini and see if the silver acts any different.

Yup.. i agree.. if you said two silvers.. i would've been a bit puzzled.. but a Jardini at 9inch! YA.. your jardini is the culprit..

You'll have to give up one of the two arowana.. Its very hard to keep two... and judging the picture.. your silver is super stress.. its staying on the bottom to hide from the jardini..

If you have another tank.. move the jardini or silver.. You'll have to upgrade soon with a silver arowana.. at least 180 gallon.. A jardini maybe ok inside a 110gallon

aw sh*t been hassled by my dad since i have three tanks total now with the 110 the biggest, how do i break the news? this is a hard decision to make, freakin lfs owner didnt say crap about this

i like both of them

Maybe consider researching before you buy fish, less surprises that way.

i think ima take out the Jar,

I would sell the silver...

Jardini are slightly harder to find.. and they wont take up as much space..

But ya.. LFS dont know jack... all they care about is the money in your wallet and how much they can make off you.

Thats why there are sites like this where members help others and be informed and get smart..

Just me.. at the moment.. your silver arowana will take up a lot more space.. you'll have to upgrade to an even larger tank vs. just keeping a jardini..

yea thats the biggest problem, if anything I'll use this summer to build myself an aboveground pond so i can also dump the id's in there,

and i like the jardini too since the scales look much more beautiful than the aro and it has a blue/dark blue color throughout

My aro is about 12"-13" and loves to chill on the bottom. Is he interested in food?

yes, the silver is a big big eater, I feed the silver

yea the silver aro is about the same size as yours, this is the first time i have seen that behavior, until recently i thought the two liked each other since most of the tine they swim side by side or one on top, usually the silver takes the top and the jar takes the upper middle

Jardini under the Silver is classic "gonna woop yer ass" position...
Belly bite, head chomp and shake...And all the silver can do is dive cause he can't jump out and there is no room to run...on the bottom gives him some kind of security so nothing can get him...watch for secondary infections due to injury and stress....separate them asap or one of them will be floating, probably the Silver...and eventually everything else in the tank as well...;)
