Help! Arowana is swimming vertically

I feed my aro fresh frozen prawn every couple days I thawed them both way, hot or cold depands if I'm lazy or not once it thawed I peeled off the shell and hand feed my aro, its been months and no ill effect, did u peeled off the shrimp? U might have tough luck with it and got bad shrimp and I a sorry for ur loss

I picked up the shrimp from a Asian market, these shrimps were on ice thawing out. Took it home then put it in the freezer. When It was feeding time, I thawed the shrimp, de-shelled the whole thing, cut in little pieces and fed right away. Maybe the hot water and the shrimp being out at the store might of caused the shrimp to spoil. Sucks, because this was part of his normal diet. Ive been feeding him shrimp for a few months now.

I did the same as you did, buy shrimps from Asian marking on ice thawing out, thaw shrimp with hot water, etc... for years.. Believe me, hot water doesn't cause the shrimp to spoil, or does it cause the death of your aro..

i wondered if the fish have bowl movement problem, have u seen it poop before he swim vertically?

Now tell that to any experienced chef. It might not go bad for the fish, but for human consumption, it usually doesn't end well.
