ph 0. amonia 0. nitrates 0. nitrites off the chart... what do i do????!!!! im doing a 50% water change right now.... what else do i do????!!!!! man im starting to loose fish here!!!!!

I would retest your parameters to confirm, some of those are impossible levels.

Ph 0? How high are your nitrites?

pH 0 and nitrates 0? Is this an established tank? What did you do to your filter recently?

Don't hesitate to do back to back water changes. Fresh water fish love fresh water!

Never tested out the theory, but have heard that a bit of salt in the tank helps to mitigate the effects of nitrite poisoning. My source for this theory is really good, but I don't understand the chemistry that would make it true.

is the water added to the tank treated? ive heard of the water companies sometimes adding additional levels of chemicals that the conditioner is not calculated for.

in other words the water company added an additional 100 units of chlorine instead of the regular 50 units. you being the customer dont know the change ntil this happens.

also what type of fish? some fish are extremely sensitive to even the slightest changes in pH or temp.

btw i dont know you so i am not questioning your fishkeeping skill or experience. just trying to help incase something not so obvious happened

params seem decent... idk too much about loaches but what is the recomended pH level? since 6.0 is a little acidic... if you can, test for residule chlorine. if you or any friends own a pool you can use the chlorine test kit as it should read a range from 0-10ppm, unless its chloramine or some other chemical that wont read on the test

hey bro. no worries... im just trying to figure this out myself... i did a 25% about 5 days ago... and just did a 50% now... and one loach is dead.... and the others are like gasping for air but the pbass seem to be fine... i dont know what happened. These guys are all small but i have had them for a while... well ill see whats going on tommorrow, im out of town and my wife has been caring for them. well, thats for all the replys so far....

Also i was getting this info from my wife.. she said nitrites first then just reconfirmed it was nitrates 20-40

maybe internal parasites? my ngt died for no reason after i saw it swimming lethargically and breathing harder. hope your loaches recover
