I fed my baby corn snake his second pinky sunday night, and all seemed to go well. However, tuesday morning, I saw that he had regurgitated it completely. The previous night, the heater was on, so maybe he did it since the room got warmer? I didn't bother him at all once he had eaten.

I don't know what to do, and I'm worried :nilly: I assume throwing the pinky away is the right thing. When should I feed him again? (I now know to to turn on the heater when he has eaten...) Thanks.

you may have over fed him depends on how small it is

That's not uncommon. Until my snakes hit the 14" mark or so I stick with a single pinky per meal. Wait at least a week before offering any more food.

No, you don't get it; I fed him one pinky, and the last time I fed him was exactly a week ago.

no need to be rude explain things better if your wanting help what was the temp if his tank is in a higher traffic area then he might have been over stressed

I wasn't being rude at all. Sorry if it sounded rude.
Anyway...I don't have a thermometer. What do you mean by higher traffic area? Higher temperature you mean?

So, should I feed him now? Thanks.

an area where you walk by alot if wesley(my male chocolate striped cali king) get walked by alot when he's eating it'll make him throw up and if you don't have a thermometer i recomend getting one in the very near future hows the humidity in his enclosure if you havent fed in a week you could try again but if the temp or the humidity isnt right it'll just end up regurgitating it again

Well, he is in my room so he only sees people when I come to sleep. I am going to get a thermometer soon, so that will help. I guess I'll see if he'll take a mouse again, without turning the heater on. I mean, he ate a mouse a week ago. Well, here I go.

how big is he and are you feeding fuzzies or pinkies?

The temps here in Cali have dropped quite a bit in the last couple of weeks. I know all of our snakes...even the young ones have slowed down thier feeding getting ready for the winter schedule.

(We have two chocolate banded kings...a 4.5 foot female and a big male whos over 6 feet. one big candy cane corn...two yearling bull snakes...and albino stripped king and a 5 foot female bannana king.)
