Help! Balzanii male swimming/floating upside down

He's still doing about the same...he has spent most of the day laying on his side fighting to stay upright. He'll occasionally right itself only to spin immediately upside down again. I've had fish before that get listless shortly before they die and stay on the bottom of the tank, but I'm not getting that feeling from him. He's fighting hard to stay up. I moved it into a tank with tetras, blue rams, a honduran red point and an Elliot's cichlid. I've got the light off and everyone is leaving him alone.
almost 48 hours later and he's still the same.....he's now got himself propped on some driftwood almost "standing" upright.......any other ideas on how to help him?
i would do like i said before and try to use netting or something to keep him in proper position, also how many wc have you done, and add some salt to the water hopefully he pulls through since he has lasted this long...
I've put him upright and he stays there for a little while until he shifts himself. i've done 1 wc and added salt
