yes!!! i just rented the bigest generator from the home depot.. i guess this is going to save my day well what is left. i got it for $90.00 bucks for 24hr.. is a 7500watts.. i think this would do!!!

update::: i got the generator up and running, my tank's back in acction and the best of all no fatalitis... awesom.. i want to thx all of you guy's for your's tip's i did a little of every thing and i guess they were all good cuz not a single dead fish... man all for the love of the hobby..

MKD mentioned not to feed them. If you did before the power went out then you must do a water change. I had that problem with hurricane Irene and end up losing 800.00 dollars worth of plecos. Harbor Freight has a generator for 100.00.
