A few months ago I purchased a used 135g tank that came with 3 Angels.100B0380.JPG

I am housing the two that appear to be the breeding pair due to their behavior in my 55g.

I have never had Angelfish before and I have never Breed any fish before. The other tank mates are 3 silver dollars, 3 bala sharks, 2 clownloaches, 6 tiger barbs, small pleco.

Do I have to house these two separate? How often should they breed? I have been waiting to see something happen for a few months and nothing?
Any input would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Many times they will not breed in a tank with others. If they do, you probably won't have any survivors.

i suggest move them to different tank for themself. Also try to research how to breed them. I tried to breed them before just practicing and tried to know the breeding process before put my hand on discus. They spawn about every 2-3 weeks. Look at my signature, there is a link breeding angels.

Thank you much great video. The craziest thing happened today! I had to do a deep cleaning on my 135g so I ended up putting my 8" Arowana in my 55g community tank with the Angels. I turned out all the lights and covered the tank with a towel thinking it might relieve some stress on the fish. When I removed the towel @ 6 hours later to remove the Arowana the first thing I saw was the Angel's laying their eggs!!!!!! Crazy!!! I removed all the fish from the tank and will do my best to breed the eggs!! Awesome!!! Great video again couldn't be any better timing!!

stick a nylon sock over the filter inlet or the wrigglers will end up in your filter.
Better still transfer the pipe into a separate tank. Add an airstone and half the recommended dosage of malachite blue. Make sure the eggs never come in contact with the air while you transfer them

I got the filter covered. I've got large airstone. I removed all the other fish from the tank. Should I still remove the eggs and parents into say a 20 gallon with no rocks?? What is malachite blue?

I think it keeps the eggs from fungusing up. I've breed dozens of Angelfish spawns and never used this, only had 1 spawn fungus up due to lazyness on my part... not enough water changes before the spawn.
