Help! Its the end of day 2 and I think the mom and dad are moving the eggs but how long to they hold them in their mouths for? Do they move a few at a time or?? The eggs are all gone, but are they really all gone? Did they eat them? They were all still on pipe @ 3 in the afternoon.

well I read somewere that the infertile eggs turn white and most of the eggs did turn white so I will have to try again. I think all the comotion of removing fish ruined it. When they lay eggs next month can I remove the eggs? At what point?

Angelfish will move the spawn to get the fry away from the infertile eggs that the parents don't eat and also it will confuse any "predators" that might be in the tank from finding the spawn.

Let them try raising the fry again, they almost always mess up on there first couple of tries. Feed the pair blood worms and do a couple larger water changes. Turn the temps up around 80ish and just wait. Should be 2-3 weeks before they spawn again.

well they have spawned 3 times under my care but were breeding before I got them and each attempt has ended with them eating the eggs in the first 2 days??? I know a separate tank would help but they should be doing better than this? What am I doing wrong?

you could try putting a background on the tank, and putting a background on the sides. I have both of these on my breeding tanks.

A good way to hatch the angle fry is to remove the eggs from the parents and that tank, put them in a 10 gallon bare bottom tank. In the 10 gallon tank you will need a air operated spung filter, an air stone, heater. Place the spung filter in a corner of the 10 gallon and place the tube with the eggs on the other side of tank and stick it to the side of tank off the bottom just the way it is now. Place the air stone under the eggs and gently let the bubbles rise up over the eggs. After the fry hatch they will wiggle and come off. Do not start feeding them untill the fry are swimming freely and feed the frozen baby brine shrimp, you can get that at the pet store.
You might want to try placing a cone, a clay pot or a smooth peace of slate in the aquarium for them to lay there eggs on, much easyer to move into hatching tank. It is ok to remove the eggs from the tank it will not harm them. Keep the water clean. Do not use water from the aquarium that the eggs were layed in. More offten than not the parents will eat the fry.
