Help breeding FHs using divider.

well what else do you have holding your eggcrate vertical? If you haven't even divided it yet, then that's a whole nother story...

Here's an example of what I've done before with eggcrate. The reason I do this is because the edges are jagged when cutting the eggcrate to size. You will need 4 pvc pipes, 4 pvc pipe 90 degree elbows, and GE Silicon 1...or aquarium silicone. You can go with 1 inch piping or whatever you want. You're also going to need a cutting device to cut down the center of the pvc pipe where the eggcreate can be inserted. Measurements, cuts, etc, all need to be done on your part. I made this illustration to show you real quick. It's ****ty, but you get the point. I just grabbed random images off of google and put it together lol.

I do not use eggcrate much anymore, as I tend to get the dividers they use in thailand and the winged suction cups. I go through my LFS because the guy goes to thailand often for fish and grabs the dividers also. I don't know where they sell it elsewhere, probably ebay or something. It's basically a sheet of acrylic or plastic with slots cut into it. Then I use my plastic cutter and cut it to size. This way is so much easier and cleaner. Eggcrate tends to look blah, but there's nothing wrong with it at all. Here's a photo. I think there's other guys that do this as well.

eggcrate gives really good water flow but doesn't look as good as plexi as the previous poster stated. If your worried about the edges of the eggcrate being jagged you could always sand em down with sandpaper. The PVC pipe idea probably makes for a sturdier divider though
