I got 6 healthy Giant Danios and 25 Ghost Shrimp. I've googled breeding Giant Danios, and none of them really tell of a sure way to induce breeding in them. Can someone with experience help me breed some Giant Danios?

Also trying to breed some ghost shrimp for feeding. I'll post some pics of my setup later.

Giant danios are broadcast spawners, throwing eggs and milt to the wind until they settle and combine. The most widely-used trick to keep the adults from eating the eggs (they have absolutely nothing resembling parental care, as their young are usually washed downstream from them) is to use a mesh net that the eggs can fall through without the adults going after them, or covering the bottom of the tank with a 1-marble thick layer of marbles. The eggs will settle in between the marbles, keeping them out of range of the adults. Sponge filtration only in the spawning/rearing tank.

Immediately after spawning, the adults must be removed from the spawning tank.

Ghost shrimp are a little trickier. They can only be bred in an aquarium with gentle sponge filtration, as they go through a planktonic phase before reaching teeny weeny adulthood. Fortunately, they can go through this planktonic phase in FW.

Oh, I see thanks a lot for the information. Here's a picture of my current setup.

As you can see I have some new ghost shrimp. Some even have eggs already. How do I know if those eggs are fertile? And how can I get them to stay alive/hatch?

If there are eggs in the shrimp, they are fertile.

giant danios in our ponds start to spawn when it warms up in spring, also after rainstorms and big waterchanges.

u should breed Red Cherry Shrimp

its alot easier to breed then ghost shrimp. U dont have to feed them special food when they are babys.

also it look like u need something to protext the eggs from the danios

sponge filters and javamoss are great for ghost shrimp.. turn off the lights and just hold a flashlight against the glass.. its the only way you will ever see them till you learn how to "see" them when the shrimplets....
cherry shrimp are easy to breed as well and will do fine with the ghost shrimp

I have Cherry shirmp in my planted tank, but they have not been active, maybe because of the fish i have in there. I am looking for the netting material so I can layer it between the floor and the parents. What is that stuff called? and where can I buy it?
I know it looks like this:
