rapid breathing isnt a good sign, have you looked into giving it asprin, about 300mg/gallon will help calm the fish and some aloe vere will help heal the burn.

umm.. do you guys realy dose your rays with asprin? hopfuly that was a joke.

Add lots of extra oxygen to the water..

Use some aquarium salt as a tonic, it will lower stress levels.

Cover the aquarium and remove any possible stresses.. no lights, etc..

Extra water changes, and make sure she keeps feeding. Use live foods if you have to.. Worms are always nutritious.

I would stay away from any other medications like aspirin, aloe, stress coat, or melafix. It might cause problems. I have succesfuly used Melafix on rays before, but not nearly a full dosage. Other reports have told me that Melafix can be detrimental to the rays..

today things are looking better
the temp is now 82deg and i have added a little bit of salt
she is much more active and not hiding as much but still not eating much. she is nice and fat though so i am not too worried about this at the moment.
the burnt flesh is starting to come off now and there is nice white skin underneath.
her belly was a bit pink yesterday but today it is much whiter.
