HELP!! Cloudy Water !!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Gray cloudy water means bacteria, green means algae, whitish fine particles or other colors usually means suspended particulates from poorly rinsed substrate. As a headstart to clear the water throw in a couple large sponge filters and run for a day or to, remove them, rinse them and repeat. This will remove most of the current particles, no matter what they are. if they return you have a larger problem.

will do. kit is being shipped to me. now i have another excuse to go to petsmart...lol

I personally think water clarifier is a problem masker.....It does not work wonders.

yeah, the best water clarifier is good filtration and BB

im a fan of it... my tank had a terrible attack of cloudy water, all my readings are 0.. i wasnt doing anything different, it just changed over night couldnt see 10 inches in the tank, crystal clear now.

i only used it as a last hope kinda thing though.

my tank is still crystal clear. it was on sale for 3 dollars and said what the hell, ill try it out and see what it does. it says FISH AND PLANT SAFE on the bottle in big red bold letters
