Help computer virus!

Tongue - Are you telling me that viruses are no being produced for MACs? If so could you post up a link. I am not aware of any virus protection needed for MACs.

I'm pretty sure that viruses are being produced for macs.

Many of the "spyware" applications themselves are in fact viruses. Especially if it pops open when you first open a browser or are at a website that usually doesn't have spyware popups. To be fair most spyware pop ups are scams. The only two good ones that I know of are spybot and adaware.

You also want to get trnedmicros R U Botted, to make sure you aren't infected with a spam bot, which spybot doesn't detect.

I would dowload them from another computer, burn a cd and install it on the main from the cd, with the internet disconnected.

You should also chnage ever single one of your passwords to something complete different and unique (i.e. VnWa883!na).

To be honest i think it came from myspace.com, i got it yesterday and that was the only site other than MFK that i went on.

You thought macs were virus proof? Its possible for any computer connected to the internet to get a virus. While the older macs were pretty much non-targets for virus's since they held very little market share, the new macs especially on OSX since its Unix based, are threatened by viruses. Not quite as threatened as windows users, but they still can get virus's. Same goes with Linux distributions, they also can get virus's.

Your best bet with any sort of computer is to always assume you can get a virus and run virus scans at least once a week. I personally have my virus scanner to run once every day at 4:00 a.m.

Ok, first stay away from the porn Second if you can't stay away and you click a link that brings you a pop up saying some crap like your computer is infected download this yada yada yada DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING! When you click anywhere in that pop up you are authorizing the trojan to be downloaded on your PC. If you get this pop up you should open task manager (by right clicking the clock and selecting it or by hitting ctrl+alt+del) Once task manager is open click on the processes tab at the top of the window and scroll down the list until you see iexplorer.exe, right click on it and select "End Process" this will kill Internet Explorer completely without having to interact with the pop up window, which is the door to the virus getting into your PC.

And AVG is OK but NOD32 is the best there is! I should know I've been doing this for a very long time.

Well im not gonna buy mac any time LOL, im using my laptop and the keys are smaller and i miss keys hence spelling errors, also i dont use Porn LOL
