State of chaos
Over the weekend I euthanized a Dario Loach that was doing the death spiral, and now my fish seem to have ich!! WTF!! My Ctenopoma has a decent amount of it, my Yoyo Loaches might have some, and I saw my Flash Pleco scratching himself on a rock!! What do I do?? I can't just treat the tank like I normally would because of the Loaches and the Plecos. I moved the temperature up to 86 or so, what else should I do??

add some aquarium salt and keep up with higher water temps and WC.

Aquarium salt is not needed. Lupin told me normal table salt is fine. do daily WCs. no feeding is best

You can use table salt, but make sure you check the ingredients list! Some cheaper brands add sodium ferrocyanate (known commonly as yellow prussiate of soda ) as an anti-caking agent. It is normally harmless but if it's water with a low pH it can react and release dangerous hydrogen gas. And anyways, aren't there loaches in the tank?

Won't salt kill the Loaches?
not that i know of... i think Methylene blue in most ich medicines arent safe for scaleless fish

i agree

Ctenopoma moved to quarentine so I can go ahead with salt treatment. How should I treat the Loaches and Plecos? Raise the temp and hope for the best or what?
