nice pick up, just dont put it with the arowana like previously suggested. Dats are to nice too be feeders.

Before I went to work he was just kinda relaxing in that little hiding spot.

Now he's out swimming around with the Firemouths like part of the gang.

No one is messing with him. I'm kinda surprised. I thought I was gonna have to take the Firemouths out.

Definately a cool fish. Gonna try to find more!! Do they fight with each other?

dats of the same size and species will most deff fight alittle at least. But with the amount of other fish u have in there, and the amount of hiding spots you say u have, you should have no prob getting a few more.

So if I can find a different type i.e. Siamese Tiger or New Guinea Tiger they have a better chance of not fighting?

I'm going to grow them to about 6 inches before they go into the 240gal. I figure the Arowana won't try to eat them and the polypterus won't be able to.

yes, less likely. Still will have some chasing and nipping but probably not as much as you have if it was 2 of the same species.

Every fish has its own personality though, and nothings deffinite.
