Help deciding stock for 29g

I have a 29g with a single male convict. He is my mini-monster. If he turns out to be one of those freakish convicts that get really big, I can always move him up into my 210g.
I wanted attitude in a small package and he is it. Not afraid of anything and very personable. Does not hide at all and is super owner responsive. I might consider a female for him if I could find one as nice as him. This little guy has beautiful fins and trailers. Convicts in my area are a dime a dozen, everyone seems to have them. The only issue are most are butt ugly, so I almost feel like it would be worth breeding some nice looking ones.

I actually stumbled across some unexpected fish today at my LFS... A proven pair of Geophagus Iporangensis. My tank is not ready to go yet, so they let me pre-pay for the fish and I will pick them up hopefully within the week. They are in their own tank with about 200 babies. The male is 4 inches and the female is 3 inches and they seem to be great parents from the little time that I observed them. The breeding behavior should be really fun to watch. I will probably add some tetra or hatchetfish as well as a small pleco of some sort. I'm very excited and I'll post pics once they've settled in.
