With the sump you can get creative and hook up an auto water changer or auto drip system ..let see pics , I run bulkheads on all tanks, no issues , even the plugged ones.

Hey,
wanted to some advise, due to room and other issues, I was thinking about going with a 38 gallon sump and also run the 4 FX5 filters. is that worth it? the sump with the pump and bio filters would cost me 150$ total. Is that a good route to go? or because its just a 38gallon, its not even worth considering?

Inputs from anyone els3 woukd be great too, thank you.

Do you think your 4 FX5s are not sufficient today and/or are you looking to use the sump to try something new?

well never did a sump before, do they perform better? and is over filtration ever a bad thing? My thoughts kind of reflect around, is it worth going the 150$ route for a setup that will run my fx5s and a 38gallon sump, or should i invest more and do a 80 gallon sump underneath(and run 2 fx5s instead of 4)?

Just curious when u said there is no room for a big sump but ur foot print of the tank is big. Care to explain why u can't fit a 125 gal tank as a sump? My 330 has a 125 glass tank as a sump. That's all I needed. I remember ur in NYC also.

make your own out of a 40B if thats all you can fit. you can pile up bio and mech. jus gotta be creative. i just made one last minute. 3 chambers. first one has mech on the top then goes down into my bio. second chamber for my heater and random stuff. last chamber pump.
