HELP EELS HAVE DIED...what about the rest?

what other tankmates are there? Any changes in the tank lately? I believe that eels are scaleless, so it's possible that something in the water got to them, but hasn't affected the scaled fish.

well iv also got a bgk in there and she is always the first to go belly up if something goes wrong, and shes fine. otherwise there are allsorts in there.
i have one eel left in there, soon to find out if its still alive, its not appeared yet.
 
I'm leaning towards aggression issues somewhere. and possibly bacterial infections. BGK's can be very touchy w/ water as you know. so if he's doing fine, bacterial infections can kill eels and quick. and a weakened eel is very open to death from stress alone in my experiance. couple that w/ a wound getting infected. a fish fine 24 hours earlier = dead eel. If they where all liveing together fine before, as juvies. then matureing can cause sudden changes in temperment as pointed out. Very sorry for your lose as they are awesome fish. Hope you find the other one, alive and healthy. if everthing comes back clean, and you want more eels. I'de try 2 more fire eels introduced at the same time to try and disperse the current one you haves attentions. So far this is working for me. also pending the amount of room you have to work with =D

tbh theres a lot mor fighting now as i think my female FH and venustus are reaching maturity (that was my 1st thought) but they only seem to have problems with each other, they ont pick on anyone else, thank god. tbh i dont no how i managed to keep my mix as long as i have but they have always got on.

thought ud show ur face did u lol well when i was away they went to my lfs because electrics and everything. then when i came back i cleaned the tank out before putting them in. no probs for the 2 weeks they been in there but i dont no. just at a loss.
iv got someone from here coming round in a bit actually to help me actually o a water change lol coz hes bought a hose etc and going to do a water test for me...I LOVE MFK!!!

lol yeah thought id show my face ! been a sketchy couple of months,
well i hope all the others are fine and your tank settles down :)
 
turns out its still cycling from when i was away!
so all is good and treated.
