HELP EMERGENCY AROWANA HELP

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Mix up some water and aquarium salt for the tank one table spoon for every five gallons and raise the temp worked great for my asian green when he lost his scales....

so raising the temperature won't speed up the fungus? Can I do temp+melafix+pimafix+salt?

dang, good luck.............. the fungus is normal too though, it's like us having scabs. But those look real bad and extreme. I had a cichlid that got beat up by my pbass and I had to remove him, then he grew those fungus on him for a few days and they healed by themselves but again, it was not as extreme as your pics. gl

that wasn't my arowana. That was askirmish's piranha. Mine is nowhere near as bad. It seems like some off the cottony growth is detaching. I hope it is a good sign. Now, about raising the temperature...

Raising the temp is a good thing. Stick with just salt and temp. Too many chemicals is dangerous.

alright, she is looking better

good news, the large patch I thought was fungus was skin she lost. She has exposed skin, but the warm water and salt/melafix combo seems to be taking effect
