*HELP* False Fungal Infection

Flavobacterium columnare infections, ie contton wool, cotton mouth, saddle back et al. We do not have to wate until the fish is dead fortunatly to id, treat by lowering the temperature in the tank to 72-75F this will slow the spread of bacteria. Then treat with an anti-biotic that will kill gram negative bacteria. Mardel Maracyn-Two, kanamycin ect. Melafix and pimafix will not work, but it will help mask the smell of your dead fish..

You must act quickly.
YOU MUST LOWER THE TEMP OR YOU WILL NOT SAVE YOUR FISH!

Melafix and pimafix don't work. I just talked to my buddy and he used both with no success. what are some other treatments for fungus??

They might die, but would epsom salt work?

One additional thought another good med I forgot to mention is API Furan-2 which you could use.

Or you could use something broader like metro... it's been known to treat bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections.
