i know... but they wont get that big in a 29 anytime soon.. maybe about 5 (which would be huge for a convict). Comparatively speaking, 6 inches is pretty small for an aggressive fish, esp. when considering the red devils and such which easily grow over a foot

jade gobies! meanest little buggers alive!... and a gulf killi fish too if you wanna add a little salt and go brack!

whats a GSP?
and im really thinking about the convict buuuuuuuuuuuuut
they have tons of dwarf puffers...so any info on them and can they have any other tanks mates?

i would definitely NOT do two pairs of convicts in a 29 gallon tank. they will start to breed and each pair will hate the other pair. i would be stressed out just looking at that tank.

GSP=Green Spotted Puffer.
convicts is a good choice. get a male and female and breed em. (convict pair wont hate eachother btw...)
never had exp with dwarf puffers but GSPs are really cool to have. i forgot to convert mine to salt water so it died. mine was about 4.5 inch when it died, and it was the only fish in the tank.

o well im strictly freshwater is there such thing as freshwater puffers?

not sure but i believe most puffers are brackish which means you need to add a certain amount of salt.

a group of Puntius rhombocellatus or snakeskin barbs would be really nice too.

** just did reaserch and Tetraodon travancoricus or indian dwarf puffers dont need any salt and are aggressive max size abot 1.5 inches.**

huh... sounds good snakeskin barbs? like a pack of paranhas kinda?

yep snakeskin barbs, they are semi agressive and reach a max size of 2 inch. i dont have any exp with them, but saw a tank full at my lfs and they were really cool to watch when kept a fairly large schoal.
