help! fish behaving strangely

ive just moved all the rocks, sucked up all the crap and stuff given it a good 30% change and rearanged the decor, leaving it with the lights off for a few hours so i don't stress the fish out.
if nothing improves (after bettering the water quality)
then i will do the salt thing. are we talking sodium chloride regular salt that you eat?
or aquarium salt
 
its been about 11 hours since i changed it all around.
he still looks to be no different.

what type of salt should i put in? i have marine salt. and normal eating salt.
also i have a bichir (senegal) and another small spirilus hybrid cichlid in the tank,
the salt wont effect these will it?
 
Usually, when a fish scrapes against things it's ich or someother parasite. They scrape against things, I believe, because it itches. Take a real good look at the fish to see if there is something on his skin.
