they were fine when i got home from school but then i feed them and they started to doing it agian. thanks for all the help

The water running through pipes are not sufficiently aerated (especially during winter time when boiler water is mixed). Therefore, when you are doing water change, you want to make sure that the water hose is at the tank top to so that wave/splashing will be created as water is added. In addition, you want to make sure that the tap hose you are using has enough pressure to create a good amount of splash while water is being added into the tank.
I almost lost my jardini during my ignorant days. I put him into a tank that had 90% new water which had been slowly added without proper aeration.
