HELP!! Fish might have hex

Okay so I just put hikari metro in to the tank. two questions. Do I remove all carbon from my filters? Also should I also feed him metro soaked food or is that overkill? Sorry I'm a noobie at this

Remove all carbon you can soak the food in metro - if he is still not eating you can try using a garlic additive for picky eaters. Redose for the amount of water you took out not total tank volume.

I've read that metro can lose it's potency after 8 hours since its not very water soluble. So what I did was dose for the entire tank volume with daily 25% water changes. My FH would not take anything other than frozen food during his treatment so I didn't bother with medicated food.

Keep in mind, this method may or may not work for you. I'm just telling you my experience.

Day two of the treatment. My flowerhorn just pooped and it looks normal. No more white cotton feces. He still won't eat. Should I take it as a positive sign that he's not pooping out white stringy feces anymore?

i've tried metroplus and prazipro with no luck. Im out of ideas and i really dont want to lose this guy. Its day two of using prazi, should i finish it until the fifth day? also i see this black string like thing sticking out of where his anal tube is, might that be a worm?
