I would not use chems to eradicate Ich...Personaly, i would of gone down teh hypo route...The Chem your using should tell you how long the process takes....however, with hypo, its about 6 weeks..

like reefscape said, i tried the med approach with no success. Ive had my tank at hypo for i think almost 3 weeks. My tang goes ickless (white spots) for 4-5 days then ill have a outbreak on her for a day or two. Is this normal reefscape? is the ick just runnin its course? Shes still eating fine. Ive also up'ed the temp to 84-85.

Ich can only live in a tank with a Host. Fish are the host otherwise they eventually die in the water column. Keep the lights off if you can and keep everyone calm in the tank. I've found that to be the kay to ICH. Also feed the fish with food soaked in vitamins and garlic. I personally make my own food for that reason. The fish have to build an immunity to the ICH. If you decided chemicals, i've only tried http://www.marinedepot.com/medications_ruby_reef-ap.html which I have found to work well.

LOL speedo just to let you know, the majority of these threads you're posting to are months old. There's a good chance the problem has been resolved by this time.
