thanks for the responses. everything is going fine so far. a little background on the fish.
the jag is about 5in long, the fh is about 10in long. the fh is the female and the jag is the male. i had them in a 150 with 3 oscars and a jd, those 4 fish all about 10-12in. the jag and fh were extremely agressive towards the other fish. i decided to put the jag and fh in their own 46gl bowfront until i could find a bigger tank for the both of them. well, after being in the tank together for 3 days i woke up one morning to eggs on the one flat rock in the tank. i removed the pleco so he wouldn't eat them and just hoped for the best. to be honest, i didn't know the sex of either one and figured the eggs were done for.
until i woke up one morning a few days later and saw that the eggs were all pretty much gone. i didn't put much stock into it until i saw the fry 2 days later. both mother and father are still in the tank and EXTREMELY agressive. i got bit by the fh trying to remove the jag and vice versa. so far they seem to be getting along fine and just tending to the fry. my next step is to figure out where to put the fry once they start growing. i am going to be moving in about 3 weeks and hope the fry are going to be strong enough for the shock of being removed from their tank for an hour so inbetween the tank being emptied, moved to my new house and then refilled.
