Hello to everybody.
You have to excuse me for my english, I live in italy.
I have 4 pbass ( I bought them 2 years ago 1,5 inch long now they are 12") and I'm asking for your help.
They eat only alive fish.
1-could you help me to ID them
2-one of them have a dorsal fin broken since I move it from one previous tank, but happens 1 year ago.How can I help him to repair it?
3-it is possible to move them to pellets?
4-the tank is 200 gallons, what do you think?
5-this evening I found them very aggressiv ( fighting ) to each other with the dorsal fin black, after 5 minuts they became quit. What appened?
Thanks for your answer

1-could you help me to ID them= Guyana ocell's

2-one of them have a dorsal fin broken since I move it from one previous tank, but happens 1 year ago.How can I help him to repair it?= if it ain't fixed by now, it's stuck like that.

3-it is possible to move them to pellets?= yes, just starve them for a couple of days and then drop in a couple pellets. Silver sides and market shrimp works fine as well.

4-the tank is 200 gallons, what do you think?= might want to think about upgrading your tank to a 300gal wide tank or wider tank at that, but keeping at lease a 6 foot long tank.

5-this evening I found them very aggressiv ( fighting ) to each other with the dorsal fin black, after 5 minuts they became quit. What appened?= establishing the pecking order. They will be fine.

Answers are after your questions. Full tank shot?

Thank's, don't you think I could fix the fin with some plaster band?
Is not easy to found the pellet here, do you have some mark of them?
I agree with you, it's a problem of pecking order.
How big could they grow?
I know, I just moved them from 100 to 200 gallons and I thinking to project a 350/400.I hope.

Expect 24'' For their max size. I personally would leave the fin alone, it adds character. Market shrimp, talapia and silver sides also work as a alternative to live fish. And cheaper.
