help getting fish out of decorations

thanx for the suggestions. i tried taking it out slowly to see if they would swim out and they didnt. they didnt come out when the lights were off. shaking them out didnt work either. i didnt even here them flopping inside. there both pretty small but i think the two of them got themselves stuck together.

I just pick ornaments out of the water. They start to wiggle out the farther you take the ornament to the top. Simple as that.

I had an eel that wouldnt ever come out of this acrylic driftwood thing I had...when he finally did (and trust me yours will too eventually) come out I sealed up the holes...instead of silicon as suggested (probably a mess and expensive) I used poly fiber and stuffed it in the holes

I would suggest breaking the ornament if its been a while and you are concerned. I used to be lax about not seeing fish for a few days until I had my run in. I had a keyhole cichlid he was a baby halfway grown, either exploring or hiding from my BGK that probably scared him at night. Got stuck in a crack of a nice piece of driftwood, I didn't find him until I noticed his friend swimming around the crack a lot. I put 2 and 2 together and had to pull his dead body out of the crack, he was in there pretty good.

i really dont want to break it becouse it was $40. then to destroy it to find them dead would just suck. tomorow morning i think ill run up to petsmart. i figured since they have the 14 day return thing they should be willing to help me out. i was planning on taking the oscar back anyways since he seemed hurt
