Ok, my brother and I are sitting here in front of my tank, obviously my poor wolf fish is sick, and had a small damaged area on his left side. So we are sitting here and all of a sudden my brother screams "What the f&ck is that?"....

My gravel has been rinsed many times before I used it....I have no Idea what the freak it is!....someone please tell this has happend to someone before and knows what this is...it LITERALLY LOOKS LIKE GREEN STUFF SEEPING OUT OF THE SUBSTRATE..

pictures taken last week, this has not gone away yet...

the most obvious answer is often the right one...

:)

probably a form of blue-green algae. or bacteria. use some erythromycin. it can be found in maracyn by mardel. its actually for pop-eye and fin rot, but really its an anti-bacterial.

should note that its usually set off by poor water quality. make sure you are testing your water and preforming regular water changes.

in the meantime i would do a good waterchange and get that out of there.

I gotta go with the green Kryptonite. It doesn't look anything like red Kryponite.

well obviously.. but good luck finding an image to go with it thats not from the tv series or that smallville crap

I think in Smallville, the guy took care of the green kryponite with a bucket and a gravel vac.
