Help gulper catfish laid eggs

Saw a recent post by Poklei in another thread about how his friend's gulper pair laid eggs but they never hatched.
Otherwise it's hard to believe with no pictures and no follow up on this thread especially when it comes to a fish that has not been c/b'd and there are only a few recorded instances of eggs being laid.

u guys took 6 days too long to reply, thats why i never checked back no1 gave me feedback, what does BUMP stand for? they are my friends gulpers, the eggs never hatched last time i saw them because he went outta town and never looked after them, the eggs were orange tho, i saw them mate though it took about 2 weeks before she laid the eggs, the male would bite onto the females side fin and rub his anal fin against hers, it would look like hes trying to eat her but hes not. The female wouldn't eat for weeks, we were worried, we put in many different foods but she still didn't eat. Finally laid the eggs on the drift wood a bunch of long orange strands i think and she began eating like theres no tomorrow. the male was taken out of the tank after she laid the eggs because we thought he was gonna eat the eggs because he was a pig. About 2 days later he thought maybe the male needed to sperm on them so he put him back in with her, but she was pretty protective of the eggs. i didnt recall wat the male did ill have to ask when he comes back into town. i dont got any pictures have to wait till the next time they do it. ill be sure to take pictures.
