I posted this here http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?465222-API-Super-ICK-Cure-(2-Viewing) to because alota people hadnt been coming to the puffer section latley

How much sat are you adding & how high is the temp?
In addition, you should be doing 80& WC while cleaning the substrate thoroughly, to remove free-swimming cysts. Do this every other day & replace salt removed. Add Melafix to help heal wounds caused by the parasite & an airstone, if there isn't good O2 exchange in there. I've seen "safe" ich meds, peel a puffer's skin right off.

^ which meds in particular have peeled a puffers skin off or has been proven to be bad for puffers from your knowledge PP... coz i definitely want to be on the look out for that stuff coz i definitely don't want to hurt my fish...

Ok the temp is at 82 rite now, and been doing 50% wc everyday with python, salt 1 tablespoon per 10 gallon and yea i read about the melafix at your place u have responded to me over there earlier today about turning the heat back up add another stone i did that but it was killing me to watch him suffer thats why i went for extra help "meds" and to be honest hes lookin better already,he was head up hes leveled back out now ,his fins are still clasped one at a time and there redish .Anyway i posted here for diffferent opions thats all.I just dont wanna lose him or the other fish for that matter believe me i've been on here and your site all day and google before i decided to use it .So my fingers are crossed
thanks

You need to get that temp up to 84-86. This is a gill disease. What you see on their body is the spillover, after the gills are infested.
To FH, I don't trust any of them.

You think he can handle it he was head up lookin bad when i posted earlier at ur place .and what about the super ick i put in there dont put any more ?Do a 80%wc tomorrow ?Ill take all the sand out if it helps idc it was only 20 bucks .Do you think my bio is dead in the filters ?I just wanna be sure from this moment i do every detail the rite way i really dont wanna kill him.And i read that it being gill disease but also to turn the back down if he looked bad . Im so lost cause i just had a guy tell me dont use salt wow idk what to do :(

What are the parameters: ammonia/nitrite/nitrate? At 1st I was going to suggest not removing the substrate but if the puffer was in QT, it would be bare-bottom, so it might remove extra cysts & keep it easier to clean.

As of earlier amonnia 0 nitite 0 nitrate 20-30ppm and if u think it will make a difference tomorrow the python and i will go to work and a bucket .What about plants does it live on them if so i think thats how i got it because everything has been perfect untill i put some plants in there from another tank my guppy feeder tank but they are ok so idk

Melafix and high temps are a bad combo. But imo High temps alone and doing heavy water changes alone should do it. and imo salt does more negative then positive to fish as it puts added stress on their systems. Salt is great for helping with bacterial infections but when dealing with Ick and parasites in general it does more damage then good. Clean water/heavy water changes/ and high temps are all that is needed in general to kill 99% of Ick infestations. I'm not sure if prazipro would kill the ick in it's free floating stage, but I would try it if the fish didn't start looking better in 6-12 hours. One of few meds I have never had any negative reactions to when used as directed, and the goal is to kill the free floating bugs as when in cyctes it's nearly impossible to kill, save the melafix for afte the parasite are handled, the clean water shoudl help with the healing process and if needed then use an anti-bacterial.

KISS. ( keep it simple stupid) every good pet owner goes into freak-out mode when their pets get sick.. but over-compensating often kills as much as the original problem.

If you add good O2 exchange, heat/Melafix/salt is the way to go.
