Well its ok i wont use anymore as of 7:00pm he died :( So now theres 1 yoyo loach left i thought he was gone but still there everything else died in the morning, now my 1.question is does the api kill your bb in the filter?
2.How should i play this out since only 1 fish is left go ahead and dose it with api and crank the heat or just crank the heat ?

Sorry for your loss...

Does your remaining fish have ick? If so might be an idea to keep the heat ip to get rid of the remaining ick...

thanks FH yea hes trashing around so i suspect he has it ....Do u know if that api kills your bb? Forgot to mention 2 crawfish r still alive there like roaches i guess lol man.... I took him out the tank and bagged him for the frezzzer till the garbage runs he was 11" and solid fely like he weight a pound

I would say try and dose the tank if you want to save the fish unless your just gonna restart totaly

yea thats exactly what i was thinking im gonna try save him ,then im gonna start the tank over all new substate the whole 9 yards i guess even start the filters over recycle the whole thing to make sure its gone i hate to lose my filters bb but so be it i dont wanna see ick again !!!!

Sorry for your loss =( as for if the meds killed your BB colony.. it's likely. I would test your water once the laoch is doing better. again I will state it.. just keep your temps high (85-90).. don't add anything, other then water conditioner when doing massive water changes... Melafix at full stength over 76 is often lethal, Salt causes the fishes system to go into overdrive produceing their slime coat.. which is very stressful on the fish. Together it is a LETHAL combination. Thats not even takign into account the API meds..

Ick also has a approx 4 week life cycle... so after the last you see of it be ready in approx 3-4 weeks for it to crop up again.. my advise would be to change your decor ect... and leave the loach to do as he is. Ick is in most systems, compromised immune systems are often what trigger it. So make sure your filtration and heating ( for some reason in tropicals Ick will often crop up under 68, I'm hazarding a guess that this is due to the fishes metabolisms slowing down and the body working harder to sustain itself) You can also learn alot about Ick in the diseases sub-forum I believe there is a sticky focused directly on it.

again very sorry for your loss. BTW PP you gave me the same advise when I delt with this and my fahaka.. and I just did the temp bump and massive WC's.. maybe I was just lucky.. But puff puff is still sassy.
