  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
are you sure he is eating. sometimes with blood worms or small food on sand is that you think he is eating..

Never seen anything like it, unless the ray was on its death bed.

Check for stray voltage in the tank. Installing a grounding probe would be a good idea. I have seen sharks do something similar when there was stray voltage from a light fixture. Im not saying that i am 100% sure thats the problem with your situation. However, it wouldnt hurt to check.

It is a strange problem. Had a pair of pearls do that. Checked everything -- tried everything, even emailed a couple guys out of this country (no one new what it was or what to do). Lost one due to it rubbing it's head from being upside down too long before I flipped him back over. I finally Prazi- the tank which seemed to help with the other. Still don't know what it was. Good Luck. Maybe do a BIG water change and then Prazi the tank and cross your fingers.

Wow that is crazy! Doesn't look good for him. I noticed your tank has plants. Are you using any c02 or ferts? Just trying to rule out possibilities. Water parameters?

Unfortunately that ray is on its way out its just suffering . Is it a wild caught ray?

I've had this happen a few times with wild rays that were healthy and recently with a very valuable captive bred pup. Rays do not have a swim bladder its just dying.

Exposure to chlorine ,ammonia or any other harmful chemical will cause this. Soon he will start to really curl up and maybe even swim around and float upside down.

Prazipro- it's for parasites. Just a thought. IDK- I didn't have anything else to try. It sucks.
