Just asking and not tryin to be rude, but are you new to the hobby. Did you age the water in the new tank, did you cycle the tank? A test kit is a necessity otherwise you have no chance of fighting off diseases and stress. If you don't know what your waters condition is you won't be able to know what is happening to your fish. You could have high ammonia comin out your ears and wouldn't know it. Polluted water can be crystal clear. If no one is pickin on him it's probably fin rot. I can only suggest getting the test kit quickly and trying to make sure you parameters are in the green. Once that's established they're are plenty of medications that cover multiple diseases. Just remember to remove your filter material and keep your tank well aerated during treatment. Don't bother feeding the fish either most fish won't eat while medicated and those that do will usually throw it up later which will only compile your problems. Good Luck I hope your fish recovers and does it quickly, and if you are new Welcome.

i had a problem with that before actually in my 55. so i found this 100 in our mfk marketplace. its 60x18x24. i just setup my 30 in my room with convicts, maybe ill put him in there. but will he be ok with the temp of the water for the cichlids?

If you acclimate him properly it shouldn't be a problem. I've done complete water changes to some of my tanks and put the fish right back into them and never had a problem yet and I've been a hobbyist/breeder for 16 years now. In my opinion this so called "new tank syndrome" is a myth. I don't know how active your albino channel cat is but I have a 16incher that is just the worst fish I have ever owned. They can harrass tankmates pretty good. He messed up my female tiger oscar today pretty good.

i guess im kinda new to the hobby, about a year. and this is the largest tank ive owned to date. ive since owned 3 5-6" blue cats and all have had issues! this one was fine up until this recent move with the albino and now the lmb. ive watched them for the day and have noticed both albino and lmb taking swipes at it. the albino was on the receiving end from the lmb in their prior home, till the point of it needding removal to a small holding tank till i found this one. also its weird they are all on the same side of the tank with the gravel not over the sand side? any ideas?

since you put them in a new tank maybe they are fighting to establish their new territory give your catfish some places to hide.

i moved the blue cat into my smaller tank and its doing great. actually its fins grew back in already and skin looks better also. thanks for all the advice. this is like a dream site to me! damn i love fish!!!!!!!!!!
