Turn it up to about 81 deg.. just a few deg higher than what you have it.. Heat helps healing..
well redworms are different that black worms. My rays dont like redworms either.. So tomorrow try and find live or frozen blackworms.. id look up all the pet stores in your area.. even the little shops.. like I said, rays love blackworms and might help to get him to eat.

if not, get some earthworms, cut up into little easy to eat pieces and tey it that way with the turkey baster.
 
well tyvm i tried the earth worms as u say but without the baster and he wouldn't eat, thank u guys for all ur help
 
It looks to be infected

The most important thing you can do is keep the water very clean so the ray can heal and cover your heater

Others may be able to recommend some form of topical antibiotic but that could also stress the ray so I would wait for expert advice on that one
