Does metro destroy the good bacteria in the tank?

I finished off my seachem metro last night. Have seen progress of the past week. I checked out one of my uarus and he still has hole I can see through. Should I continue with WCs and more metro? Same 50% changes over 2 days?

Just follow the instructions on the Metro package, it is important to do exactly what it says. Once the HITH is cured there will still be scarring form the pits, this is common so don't be concerned. Post an update when you finish the metro treatment I would do three treatments with the waterchanges as instructed on the package.

I would continue to follow these intsructions above. If its still active continue treatment.

Giving a little update. Still treating with metro. Did a 40-50% WC today. Everyone is looking better but still some holes are there.

Hi all. Very frustrated I need more help. I treated with metro and API general cure over the course of a month in my 125 gallon. I didn't have canister filters on bc there was carbon in them, but I had my hand on filters and power head on with aeration. For the most part everyone has gotten much better so I put everything back online thinking everything was all good. Of course it wasn't. I noticed this morning that my red sev was starting to pit on the other side if her head but she's trying to down with her paired mate. I've battled HITH with her for months now. I don't know what else to do. Do I need to take her out and treat her separately? Is this the point of no return? I'm not willing to give up its just very discouraging. Please help me.
